Décidément, la rue de la Buffa est riche en restaurant Japonais ! Ma Yucca est un excellent mélange Franco-Nippon tenue par une chef, c’est rare et il est important de le préciser. L’équipe est composée aussi d’une serveuse de Juan et d’un cuistot de Guilo-Guilo. Délicat, rapide et original, Ma Yucca est aussi une boutique d’articles Japonais de qualité. Mais revenons à la cuisine : une trilogie en entrée (œuf mollet à la Japonaise, kinpira de carottes et aubergines grillées au gingembre), un carpaccio de daurade à la mozzarella de buffle, puis du canard teriyaki, du porc sauce tartare et en dessert, une crème brûlée et un gâteau ichigo-azuki. Rien à dire, tout est juste et sans compromis. Mon coup de cœur sur Nice.

It is rare enough for a japanese restaurant to have a woman as the head chef that it should be noted. Her team is completed by a waitress from Juan and a cook from Guilo-Guilo. Delicat, fast and original, Ma Yucca doubles as store for quality japanese items. Back to the cooking, we had a trilogy of appetizers —œuf mollet japanese-style, kinpira of carrots and grilled aubergines (eggplant) with ginger—, then a carpaccio of sea bream with Mozzarella di Bufala Campana followed by teriyaki duck, porc with tartar sauce and as desert a crème brûlée and a ichigo-azuki cake. Nothing to complain about, all was right and without compromise ; my favorite in Nice.
